So a very cool part of Android 2.2 is the live wallpapers. My favourite is Live Maps. This is a HTC Desire running Android 2.2.

Excuse the video quality. It was filmed on iPhone 4. The mistake I made was sending the video direct to YouTube from the iPhone. Looks like iPhone 4 built in compression needs a little work (the iPhone compresses video before uploading).

Don’t get me wrong I like O2, I even have my iPhone 4 contract with them. What I hate is the branding of boot screens. I plan on using my HTC Desire as a pay as you go handset on another network.

The O2 branding, in my mind slows the whole boot process down. I am always thinking I could be already be using the phone every time I am looking at the O2 logo/animation happening at boot up.

I know it is a petty thing but it does wind me up.

Now I have to go debrand the HTC Desire. Time trawling through shite forums etc. Ahh will be just like the old days of jailbreaking iPhones, oops I never said that

This is one of the little things I like in the iPhone beta OS. You can zoooooom with the camera (only on stills).

I am still testing out and trying to get the best settings on my Canon 550D.

I think for static video it is awesome. Move the camera around or try filming moving objects, then it is very hit or miss.

Todays test was filming Red Kites.

A quick test of the video quality from the Canon 550D. Looks like there are some small issues, hopefully a tinker with the settings will sort them out.

This is just another test of the WordPress iPhone app. I am trying to load multiple pictures via the app.

I still think the iPhone takes fantastic pictures.

WordPress release an update for their excellent iPhone app (this post was written on it).

Blogging from anywhere just gets better and easier.

TweetDeck release v0.33.0 of their popular Twitter desktop client. The changes are a plenty.

A huge raft of improvements in functionality. A brand new API monitor that looks at each of your columns you have open, my poor iPhone picture below.

The amount of media that can be played or viewed from directly within TweetDeck has increased, most notably YouTube. The image below shows you some of the new features within TweetDeck.

I have always loved the ability to use 12Seconds from within TweetDeck.

There is still the ability to monitor and post to your Facebook. You can also keep track on your MySpace and LinkedIn.

The only improvement I would love to see in TweetDeck would be the ability to collapse the columns.

Go play with TweetDeck, there are loads of hidden features that I have not touched on. You can find TweetDeck here. I did notice this version of TweetDeck seems quicker. This must be due to the new way it interacts with the Twitter API.
