My latest tweet was:

The distances we travel and the hearts we touch is amazing, this happens right here on Twitter every day.

I loose faith in humanity more often than I have faith in it. Sometimes though when you get past all the idiots selling their wares and whoring themselves you can see a shimmer of humanity. People connecting on a personal level and actually talking about their interests, their fears, their passions, yes opening up and actually talking to each other on a personal level.

I still have a love hate relationship with living parts of my life online, and that is for me to address. But I would like more of that having faith in humanity feeling.

Maybe next time you start your tweet with “I have a gazillion followers” delete that tweet and ask someone how they are.

*applause* I think that's the secret to Twitter's appeal – the interaction. The people who are pimping their wares or touting their latest money-maker schemes, they just become noise. Because when you find that person or group of people you actually connect with – people you've never met and some you may never meet (not meaning us honey, but you know what I mean) – well that's where Twitter really shines. So, excellent advice. Stop for a moment and pick a follower and ask them how they are. I like that.
